Uday
Uday will serve as Project Manager for the LAHI V Vocational Education impact evaluation in Maharashtra. A PhD candidate, he will bring hands-on experience managing education research for Columbia University, UC San Diego, and Harvard University across Delhi, Udaipur, Agra, and Bhagalpur, along with strong quantitative skills in R and Python. On this project, Uday will plan and drive the work plan from inception to endline, supervise district coordinators, supervisors, and enumerators, and ensure adherence to timelines, ethics, and safeguarding. He will oversee sampling, instrument finalisation, piloting, consent and assent procedures, and field SOPs. He will design and maintain data pipelines in R and Python for survey, assessment, observation, and administrative datasets, with robust cleaning, modeling, and reproducible documentation. He will run quality assurance through dashboards, spot checks, and back checks, manage budgeting and procurement, and coordinate with LAHI, school leadership, teachers, employers, and government counterparts. He will maintain the risk register and lead timely mitigation. Core competencies will include causal and predictive modeling, survey and measurement design, field
team management, data engineering, version control and audit trails, and clear technical reporting. Uday will ensure accurate, actionable evidence that supports scale and sustainability of vocational education.
